How We Embrace A Flexible Work Culture at Microswift

At Microswift, things work a bit differently. We are not the regular 9-5 office that you often heard about. Here’s what sets us apart:

The 6-Hour Workday

We don’t have the typical 8-hour workday. Our employees only work 6 hours/day and the office usually finishes at 3:30 PM, much earlier than that of other companies. Since our work involves the use of high-level creativity, inspiration, and passion, we believe that nobody can be creative and productive for 8 hours straight. 6-hour workday not only helps our employees to be fully productive but also helps them reduce stress. Our employees have more time for themselves and their families, better work-life balance and develop a clearer perspective about solving problems and approaching situations at work.

“Our work is a lot about creativity and critical thinking, so we don’t think that can be done efficiently for more than six hours, and in fact, we produce as much as–or maybe even more than–our competitors do in their eight-hour days.”

Moreover, we get more done in 6 hours than comparable companies do in 8. Whenever our team members are at work, they’re there because they want to be there. We get to work feeling all well-rested and ready to tackle the day ahead, because we know that after work, we always have time to take care of our personal life and enjoy that work-life balance that so many corporate workers are desperate for.

Flexible Hours & Remote Work Arrangements

Come hand in hand with the 6-hour workday is a flexible work schedule that we offer our employees. We understand that life gets in the way sometimes, so our employees can work hours that differ from the standard company start and stop time. This empowers them to have control over their schedule and work environment. They have the flexibility to meet family needs, personal obligations and life responsibilities conveniently. Flexible work arrangements allow our employees to work when they accomplish most, feel freshest, and truly enjoy working.

Beside, we also let our employees work remotely. This enables us to hire outside of the normal commuting distance and work with the most talented individuals, regardless of where they’re based. In addition, our employees can work from home on certain days of their choosing, making it easier for them to balance work and life responsibilities.

Non-traditional Open Workspace

Our flexible culture even goes deep into the space where we work. An inspiring open workspace conveys our creative, innovative and collaborative company culture. The open space makes it faster and more convenient for us to share ideas, set up meetings, get feedback and collaborate on tasks and projects.

Moreover, our open-plan office also fosters team spirit and morale. We bond and support each other not only professionally but also as friends who care for one another.

Building The Right Team

Hiring and keeping talents is one of the most critical tasks for growing any company. We want to hire the right people, and we want them to stay with us. We don’t just post a job posting and hire anyone; we take time to choose and hire the right people - the people who will grow with our team and are genuinely passionate about what they do.

We take time to develop and train the right people to grow with our team. We invest in our employees and give them the tasks that helps strengthen their skills and knowledge. We believe that when we let people do what they love, they will produce better results and, most importantly, they’ll feel happier.

We Care

The reason we have a flexible work culture is because we trust and care about our employees. We care enough to let them prioritize their time with their family, taking care of themselves and follow their passions. We understand that when our employees are healthy and happy, they will do better at work, feel more inclined to engage with the company’s vision and make a valuable contribution to the team.

It also helps us attract and retain the best talents, as there are very few companies out there that have a similar culture or offer the same flexibility as us. Our employees stay with us not only because they love the job but also because they appreciate our unique culture and opportunity they have to grow their skills and connect with like-minded, supportive teammates.

As you see, life at Microswift is different. Our employees are empowered to take charge, to learn new skills, to connect with others, and most importantly, to do the things that they truly love (and incredibly good at ;)

Working at Microswift is different, and we're proud of it!
